Role Overview
As a Sales Executive at Informa, you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth while embodying our commitment to champion specialists and connect people with knowledge. Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Account Management
- Strategically manage existing client accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities across diverse markets
- Generate qualified leads through multiple channels including face-to-face visits, phone calls, emails, and virtual meetings
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients from varied industries and backgrounds
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to understand their evolving needs, company objectives, and industry challenges
- Build strong, inclusive relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring all feel valued and understood
Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement customized sponsorship packages tailored to each client's specific needs, market position, and objectivesAchieve individual sales revenue targets within established timelines while maintaining Informa's commitment to ethical business practicesMaintain productive activity levels including client meetings, calls, and follow-ups on a weekly basisUtilize Informa's CRM system to track all client interactions, ensuring comprehensive documentation of the customer journeyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client experiences from initial contact through event executionIndustry Engagement & Knowledge Building
Represent Informa at industry events, both national and international, embracing opportunities to engage with diverse communitiesStay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and client businesses to provide informed recommendationsParticipate in Informa's knowledge-sharing initiatives to contribute to collective learning and innovationSupport Informa's sustainability initiatives by promoting sustainable options to clients and minimizing environmental impact in sales activitiesInternal Collaboration
Work closely with operations, marketing, and finance teams to maximize client experience and ensure seamless event executionProvide timely and accurate reporting of sales results and activities to support data-driven decision makingQualifications
Education & Experience
University degreeAt least three years of equivalent work experience in sales or account managementExperience in events, media, or related industries preferredDemonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targetsSkills & Attributes
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and TurkishAdvanced knowledge of MS Office applicationsExperience with CRM systems preferredCritical and analytical thinking skills with ability to develop creative solutionsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients and colleaguesDetail-oriented with ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlinesValid driving license with active car useDemonstrated sales enthusiasm and ability to close dealsCommitment to inclusive practices and ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgroundsAdditional Information
