Our client, a global leader in medical device manufacturing, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Specialist / Engineer to join our client's team. You will be responsible for servicing ophthalmic instruments.
Job Description
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, installations, and system upgrades for assigned ophthalmic equipment within your designated service area, in accordance with training and official guidelines.
- Complete all scheduled service tasks within or ahead of designated timeframes.
- Accurately document each service activity and maintain up-to-date records in the service management system.
- Ensure all service-related documentation is completed in compliance with quality standards.
- Calibrate service tools as required and maintain proper documentation per quality protocols.
- Manage and maintain testing equipment and spare parts inventory effectively.
- Escalate any product-related or patient-impacting issues to Regulatory Affairs and support investigations related to customer complaints.
- Deliver on-site customer training as needed, ensuring correct product usage and maintenance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical disciplinePrior experience in field service roles, preferably within the medical technology sectorStrong command of English, both verbal and written2–3 years of hands-on experience working with high-tech equipment, particularly in the medical or healthcare industryProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsOpen to frequent travel within the country and abroadPossesses a valid driver’s license and active driving experienceFor male candidates, military service must be completed
