Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join our Ashland Ingredients business at our Turkey, Istanbul site. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Administrative function. This position will report to Regional Sales Manager&Office Manager
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following :
Managing office and lab supply requirements (stationery, cleaning materials, kitchenware, technical equipment, maintenance etc.), including being contact person with related vendors
Purchasing : coordinates and takes care of purchase process related to the office needs, including processing via SAP and Coupa
Responsible for EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) related duties
Being local contact point related to leased cars, office network and land phone
Managing company duties in state organizations and municipalities (web access, approvals related to EHS consultant, waste management)
Collection of bank related documents, in coordination with Accounting Department
Supports Management team related to activities in chamber of commerce, tax office, social security
Responsible for customs related activities (imports of goods, samples and equipment related to customers, lab and office)
Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety
Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following :
A minimum of an Associates degree or equivalent experience in administration 2-3 years
Previous experience in a corporate organization, working with different functions / teams
Proficiency in writing and speaking English Language
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to commute to the office, at least 4 days a week
Valid driver license and active driver
Very good communication and problem-solving skills
A self-motivated team player
Ability to work in a fast-pacing environment
Demonstrated responsible and ethical behaviour at all times
The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different
The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit :
Bachelor’s degree
Five years of administrative affairs experience
Previous experience in a global organization, working with multinational teams
Experience in SAP
Six Sigma certification
