Your Role
The National Sea Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving strategic initiatives within the business to ensure sustainable revenue and market growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This leadership position focuses on identifying and implementing innovative business opportunities, optimizing sales and financial performance, and fostering a high-performance organizational culture. Additionally, it ensures alignment with corporate strategies, adherence to regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth & Business Development – Identify and implement new, innovative products, services, and growth strategies. Drive business development by exploring new opportunities and improving underperforming areas.
- Sales & Financial Performance Management – Oversee sales pipeline, revenue, and growth targets to enhance profitability. Provide meaningful business and financial performance reviews, addressing significant variances in budgets, prior-year results, or financial assessments.
- Operational Excellence – Ensure forwarding tasks are completed while maintaining adherence to customer SOPs and KPI standards. Guarantee the forwarding sub-ledger accurately reflects current profitability in the designated area.
- Leadership & Team Management – Lead and develop the Sea Logistics team in Türkiye, fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure key human resources responsibilities are executed across all leadership levels within the team. Motivate, engage, and enhance team productivity while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Corporate Collaboration & Network Strengthening – Facilitate cooperation and alignment with corporate teams such as Trade, Pricing, General Services, and Systems while strengthening network relations.
- Kuehne+Nagel Experience – Employee & Customer Engagement – Foster a positive employee experience, ensuring engagement, motivation, and professional development opportunities. Enhance customer satisfaction through service excellence, proactive issue resolution, and relationship-building initiatives.
- Compliance & Quality Management – Align operations with Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, and Information Security policies at the business unit level. Ensure business processes adhere to corporate guidelines and working instructions.
- Strategic Reporting & Managerial Responsibilities – Execute tasks delegated by top management, ensuring alignment with expertise and organizational objectives.
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Proven experience in sea logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.Strong strategic thinking and business development skills.Expertise in financial performance analysis and revenue growth management.Deep understanding of logistics operations, compliance, and KPI standards.Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.Strong customer and employee engagement capabilities.Excellent interpersonal skills for corporate collaboration and networking.Good Reasons to Join
