Engineering Intern (Long Term Quality Intern)

At BorgWarner, we are seeking an Engineering Intern (Long Term Intern for Quality Team) for 3 - 6 months at our factory located in Aegean Free Zone, Gaziemir – İzmir.

Position Overview :  As an Engineering Intern (for Quality Team), you will work closely with our engineering and production teams to support and lead smaller improvement projects aimed at enhancing our manufacturing processes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry and develop your engineering skills in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in identifying areas for improvement within the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find root-causes.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends and areas for optimization and verification of solutions.
• Support the design and testing of new processes or modifications to existing processes.
• Document project progress, findings, and results.
• Present project updates and final results to the engineering team and management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude.
