You will serve as the primary deputy to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), assisting in the management of the company's daily compliance operations. You will be deeply involved in the execution of the compliance program, focusing on transaction monitoring, risk assessment, reporting, and team management to ensure effective implementation of compliance policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the CCO in developing and optimizing specific compliance processes, particularly operational details in the AML / CFT domain.
- Directly manage the daily operations of the transaction monitoring system, sanctions screening system, and KYC / EDD processes; investigate Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR).
- Lead a team of compliance officers, managing their workload, training, and performance.
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports for submission to MASAK and other regulatory bodies.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits to identify gaps and propose improvements.
- Assume the CCO's responsibilities in their absence, acting as the key point of contact for compliance matters.
- Monitor and analyze the latest changes in Turkish and global cryptocurrency regulations and report findings to the CCO.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of compliance experience within the Turkish financial or cryptocurrency industry.Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Turkish AML / CFT regulations, familiar with the characteristics and risk points of cryptocurrency transactions.Substantial experience in transaction monitoring, suspicious activity investigation, and compliance report writing.Excellent team management and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented, strong execution ability, and capable of working under pressure.Fluency in English.Compliance certifications (e.g., CAMS) are a plus.Seniority level
