Data Architect – Hybrid (Istanbul)

Job description

Amaris Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team for a long-term project with one of our key clients. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing robust data architectures, building scalable data models, and ensuring high-quality data flows across complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement end-to-end data architecture solutions , ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models .

Develop and maintain ER diagrams , OLTP / OLAP structures , and dimensional models (star / snowflake).

Oversee data integration and ETL processes , including data extraction, transformation, and loading from various systems.

Contribute to the development and optimization of data warehouse and data lake environments.

Implement data security and role-based access control mechanisms within the data architecture.

Optimize data models and structures for performance (e.g., partitioning , indexing ).

Produce clear documentation using UML and other architectural modeling tools.

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other IT stakeholders to ensure smooth data flow and system interoperability.

Use SQL and tools such as Airflow for data processing and pipeline design.

Qualifications

Proven experience in data architecture design and data modeling.

Strong knowledge of ETL , data warehousing, and data lake concepts.

Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow .

Experience with OLTP / OLAP systems and advanced data modeling techniques.

Solid understanding of data security , access management, and best practices.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work in a hybrid model in Istanbul .
