The Spare Parts Supply Chain division ensures operational continuity for our customers by delivering high-performance, timely parts supply. Within this area, Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) plays a critical role in achieving cost leadership, supply chain resilience, and value generation across our global footprint.
Role Summary
As Head of Sourcing & SRM – Spare Parts, you will lead a global team responsible for the strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, risk mitigation, and cost optimization of our spare parts supply chain. This high-impact leadership role is accountable for setting the direction, building supplier excellence, and driving innovation through collaborative stakeholder engagement.
Role Purpose
To design and execute best-in-class sourcing and SRM strategies that deliver competitive advantage and ensure uninterrupted supply chain performance. You will lead cross-functional teams and influence executive-level decisions that shape the future of FLS spare parts ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Team Direction
Lead and develop global teams in Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management.
Set functional priorities aligned with business goals and Supply Chain strategy.
Drive a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, learning, and execution excellence.
Strategic Sourcing Execution
Define and implement category strategies, supplier market analysis, and cost modeling.
Guide Make vs. Buy decisions in collaboration with manufacturing and product teams.
Manage supplier selection, negotiations, and final contract execution.
Align sourcing with long-term innovation and growth objectives.
Supplier Management Oversight
Oversee supplier qualification, onboarding, and contract frameworks.
Build and govern a world-class SRM program with performance metrics and executive governance.
Continuously improve supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and improvement plans.
Lead value engineering, cost reduction, and supplier innovation initiatives.
Execute supplier risk management, including contingency planning.
Compliance, Performance & Governance
Ensure global compliance with SLA, contract, and policy frameworks.
Govern cross-functional supplier reviews and performance issue resolution.
Own supplier scorecards, improvement roadmaps, and audit metrics.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in engineering or related field; MBA highly desirable.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and Supply Chain.
Proven success in leading global sourcing and cross-functional transformation initiatives.
Strong commercial and negotiation skills with executive-level stakeholder influence.
Experience delivering measurable cost savings and supplier performance uplift.
Track record of building resilient sourcing operations in complex, global environments.
Hands-on leadership style with strategic thinking and execution strength.
Advanced analytical, decision-making, and continuous improvement capabilities.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness and availability to travel up to 65% of the time is required for this role.
