Overview

Head of Engineering - Azure role at EPAM Systems. EPAM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Leader specialized in Microsoft Azure to join our growing team in West and Central Asia. You'll be pivotal in designing cutting-edge, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for our clients while leading and mentoring a team of engineers. This is a senior, hands-on, client-facing role with significant opportunities to shape EPAM’s cloud business.

Responsibilities

• Design Azure solutions aligned with client requirements, including cloud migrations, greenfield deployments, hybrid cloud setups, and AI / ML initiatives, while adhering to the Azure Well-Architected Framework, FinOps principles, and industry standards
• Oversee Azure project execution, managing stakeholders, KPIs, and effectively mitigating risks
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of 50+ engineers, promoting collaboration, innovation, and accountability, while driving the use of CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and container orchestration tools like AKS and Helm charts
• Participate in pre-sales activities such as responding to RFPs and delivering client presentations as a trusted technical advisor
• Evaluate and incorporate new Azure technologies (AI, serverless, sustainability features) to strengthen R&D initiatives, create innovative solutions, and enhance team expertise
