Job Description :

Wyser is the international company within Gi Group Holding in charge of searching for and selecting specialized middle and senior management.

We are looking for Regulatory & Public Affairs Expert / Manager to our business partner, which is a global leader specialized in producing high-quality pet food.

The Regulatory & Public Affairs Expert / Manager works to ensure regulatory compliance in line with established global company standards as well as local laws and regulations, secures timely product registrations and liaison with public authorities, establishes and maintains good stakeholder relations management with relevant public stakeholders, works to influence regulatory landscape for the benefit of the organization, manages complex regulatory challenges, and provides overall insight and strategic direction to the business.

Responsibilities :

Regulatory Compliance :

Develops and implements robust compliance policies to address key regulatory issues, ensuring the company's operational freedom.
Manages product compliance across global and local levels, overseeing approvals, ingredient declarations, labeling, and registrations.
Facilitates packaging and labeling compliance for seamless import and distribution, supporting Supply Chain operations.
Establishes internal regulatory standards that foster compliance and align with business objectives.
Actively supports Quality & Food Safety, initiating procedures as needed for safety and regulatory adherence.
Collaborates across departments to ensure full pet food compliance across all communication channels.

Regulatory and Public Affairs :

Monitors and interprets local regulations, identifying opportunities for regulatory alignment and addressing emerging issues.

Collaborates with trade associations and regulatory bodies to advocate for a favorable regulatory environment.

Drives business continuity by engaging global stakeholders and local authorities to open new trade lines.

Develops company-wide training programs on regulatory compliance for development of associates.

Qualifications :

Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, public policy and / or relevant trade association in related industries (i.e. pet food / pet health)

M.S. or equivalent in a technical area, such as food science, veterinary medicine, food safety, chemistry, toxicology, nutrition, or other biological science highly preferred

Proficiency in written and spoken English

Excellent understanding and working knowledge of pet nutrition and pet food law and regulatory frameworks, understanding key messages from scientific information and defending complex regulatory and scientific challenges with appropriate data.

Excellent project management / organization skills, combined with the ability to handlemany tasks simultaneously working under pressure and delivering within tight deadlines.

Ability to craft complex technical data into simple, relevant and meaningful influence strategies, able to articulate a public policy agenda.
