We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Strategy & Vertical Sales team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving governance across Vertical Sales, Service, and Strategy within the Smart Infrastructure Business. Responsibilities include developing strategic approaches and initiatives for the SI Data Center Vertical, covering Sales & Marketing, Service, and Business Development (BD) topics.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by driving revenue growth and expanding Siemens’ market share within the data center verticals through effective business development and relationship management
- Actively hunt for new business opportunities within your assigned verticals, leveraging market insights, customer data, and networking to identify and capture future growth potential.
- Highly driven and customer-focused mindset thrives in the field, actively builds networks, and consistently engages with end users, design offices, and channel partners.
- Develop a vertical market and account management plan that focuses on strategic growth.
- Own and coordinate the entire sales process from lead generation through to order fulfillment, providing support to stakeholders as needed
- Prepares customer contacts, builds and maintains a customer focused network in order to develop the customer and industry / vertical market expertise systematically.
- Coordinate with Business Unit expert resources for pre-sales technical and design and value engineering assistance.
- Conduct ongoing customer data and dashboard analysis to make impactful decisions and provide advisory support to the business units.
- Provide consultancy support to various businesses, including conducting market, competitor, and customer analysis, as well as BD projects.
- Work with Data Center Strategic Marketing and other resources to stay abreast of changing market dynamics, needs and drivers and for lead generation, account targeting priorities.
- Participate in industry conferences, drive thought leadership, speaking engagements in local events.
- Supports superiors in matters of product and service positioning for the assigned industry / vertical market and provides respective input.
Requirements
Understanding Siemens' electrification technologies, conventional products, services, and solutions, as well as proficiency with new digital products and softwareA minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience across go-to-market channels—including electrical contractors, distributors, and design-build / design-bid-build environments—is required. Good general technical abilityStrong technical aptitude and understanding of smart building technologies, including components used in data center infrastructure; DCIM, BMS, PMS, IoT, EMS, HVAC controls, hydronics, and integration protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).Ability to interpret job specifications and drawings to coach sellers in developing winning strategiesProven expertise in managing uptime certification, from defining redundancy and overseeing audits / remediations to ensuring SLA alignment with engineering, compliance, and customer teams.Communicates effectively at all levels, builds professional networks, and demonstrates flexibility, agility, independent work, and a growth mindset.An engineering degree is preferred; an MBA / MS degree in Management is a plus.Understanding of macroeconomics terminology and trends; literacy in commercial and marketing fields.Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken)Willingness to travel abroad as needed.LI-HYBRID
