Production Planner

Job Details

Main Responsibilities :

• Oversee supplier relationships to ensure all suppliers meet and maintain delivery, quality and margin expectations with the help of Sourcing Coordinator.

Production planning and time line including embroideries- shoes and bags

Work closely with design team from the collection development through productions to industrialize the products

Work closely with manufacturers, manage production timelines.

Constantly review and implement new processes and structures to improve organization, communication and effectiveness.

Ensure that costing and margin targets are met across the department each season.

Ensure all admin, invoices & reporting are kept up to date

Conduct costing on all levels from development to production

Ensuring that the weekly planning of the production lines of the facilities are made efficiently.

Being responsible for monthly and long-term capacity work according to monthly projections.

Close following up of daily production to ensure on-time delivery.

Tracing on-time delivery performance and taking actions for higher on-time delivery,

Carrying out clear communications with related parties about production plan and potential risks.

Communicating and coordinating material and urgent changes in the production plan.

Achieve consensus between Sales and Production departments when needed.

Extract Production orders from internal system.

Update Production deliveries docs weekly, scheduling 100% QC.

Ongoing assessment of existing supplier base and sourcing of new suppliers that offer competitive pricing, good quality product in line with margin requirements and order volumes.

Additional responsibilities :

Be accountable for all Production Operations related activities within the assigned manufacturers.

Ensure maximum effort is put toward preventative measures and early awareness of prospective quality issues, both in the conceptual and manufacturing process.

Based on related KPIs, drive recommendations to improve the process, record keeping, and resulting actions.

Drive implementation of new and innovative ideas, methods, machinery improvements, materials, and techniques.

Work closely with Development team to understand the Design expectations and ensure they are followed in mass production.

Work closely with Sourcing Coordinator to constantly drive for material improvement in quality and delivery.

Requirements :

Italian is a plus

Professional education

Previous experience in the similar position - minimum 5 years

A good team player and motivator with well-honed leadership skills.

Down-to-earth approach that nurtures and empowers the team.

Have the intellectual breadth and dexterity to think strategically and operationally in equal measure.

Good data analysis skills, and strong communication in written & oral English.

Must have MS Excel function skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels from factory Floor to Board level.

Preferably work experience involving Industrial Engineering field or project management roles –luxury shoes and bags
