• Secures the information on updated wage scales and any relevant update on the crew wages and changes in the contract.
• Coordinates with the Master to ensure that the required Monthly Variables / Deduction Lists are received.
• Reviews the crew lists versus the deduction lists received from the Masters and coordinates any offsigners / joiners that are missing on the list that should be included in the vessel payroll.
• Prepares and / or checks the vessel payrolls / monthly portage bills based on the agreed crew contract or wage scale and the deduction lists received from vessel.
• Coordinates with the person arranging the MPO and Allotment as to the actual amount paid to the crew to ensure that correct amount will be deducted from their on-board wages.
• Reviews the payroll and forwards the same to the respective vessel’s Master and vessel accounts
• Answers queries from the crew relating to their on-board wages.
• Ensures that Final Wages of offsigners are accurately computed and arranged accordingly.
