Purpose of Project and Background
The STRIVE Project (Supporting Transition, Recovery, Inclusion & Vocational Empowerment) has been designed under the ‘Building Refugee Resilience and Inclusion in Türkiye (BRRIT)’ programme funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) for the duration of 2024-2029. The STRIVE Project aims to support refugees and Turkish host communities in earthquake-affected areas for “improving economic recovery, increasing the ability and resilience of refugees and vulnerable Turkish host communities to withstand ongoing and future gender-specific, socio-economic, and disaster-related shocks.
Taking the lead in STRIVE communications activities, IFRC Communications Department is expected to create a lot of content from the field to promote the project objectives and for the use of project partners in public communications / internal communications.
Part of the IFRC 20230 strategy and its overall mandate is to support the work of the national society, the Turkish Red Crescent, and help them achieve their targets. IFRC leads the communication activities under the STRIVE project and work with Turkish Red Crescent and British Red Cross to collect and disseminate public communications content via social media, aiming at documenting the progress and impact of the project. For this reason, AV Consultant is needed to help us produce qualified content in a fast and timely manner.
Job Purpose
Project objectives
Film and edit AV content under the guidance of the Senior Communications Officer to feed social media channels of IFRC, Turkish Red Crescent and British Red Crescent.
Desired outcomes
A number of videos and photos that can be used on different social media channels to promote our humanitarian activities, TRC and the stories of the affected population.
