As a Business Development Expert - Contract Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. As the Business Development Expert for Contract Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel, your role is to spearhead the growth of our logistics services by identifying and securing new business opportunities, leading customer tenders, and developing tailored solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will act as a strategic partner to both internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring that all business development initiatives are aligned with global directives and local market needs. By maintaining a strong sales pipeline, leveraging shared leads, and fostering cross-selling opportunities across business units, you will play a critical role in converting prospects into long-term partnerships. Your proactive, solution-oriented approach and ability to manage complex projects will be key to driving sustainable growth and enhancing the value of our Contract Logistics offerings.

How you create impact

  • Identify and secure new Contract Logistics business opportunities to drive growth across Kuehne+Nagel.
  • Lead customer tenders from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with client needs and internal capabilities.
  • Develop tailored logistics solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Solution Engineering, Operations, and Finance.
  • Act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring alignment with both global directives and local market dynamics.
  • Maintain a strong and sustainable sales pipeline by proactively managing leads and opportunities.
  • Leverage shared leads and foster cross-selling opportunities across business units such as Air, Sea, and road logistics.
  • Convert prospects into long-term partnerships through a consultative and solution-oriented approach.
  • Manage complex projects with a focus on delivering value-driven, scalable logistics solutions.

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor’s degree from related fields
  • Minimum of 2+ years proven experience in business development, preferably in Contract Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong project management and tender leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities in English.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
  • Competitive mindset with excellent negotiation skills and a drive to achieve business goals.
  • A good knowledge of spoken and written English and Turkish.
