If you're ready to make a significant impact and advance your career in a dynamic environment, apply today and get life changing career!This position will report to the Senior Director, Legal, Ethics Compliance and Quality, BAMECA, and will be based in Istanbul, Türkiye. The PositionAs a Senior Legal Ethics & Compliance Manager, BAMECA, you will hold overall responsibility for Legal Affairs & Ethics Compliance of the BA (Business Area) office and the affiliates, supporting in a dynamic and practical way the affiliates on legal & compliance matters. You will also provide proactive advice and risk assessment in compliance with Novo Nordisk policies, external laws and regulations to relevant stakeholders in cooperation with local, regional and Global legal teams. Further, you will implement action plans to minimize key risks and be Data Protection Responsible of the BA office.Your responsibilities will include : Providing fast, effective, high quality and business-oriented legal & ethics compliance support and advice in key projects, contracts, litigation matters, LoE, Supply issues, competition law matters, pharmacrime.You will arry out and asses the effective implementation of the global and regional legal & ethics compliance strategy and helping to ensure “house in order” in the BA and affiliates, as well as identifying LEC trends and other developments in the legal & EC environment and sharing them with the respective functions.Coordinate external law firms and manage and monitor the LEC budget of BAMECA,Support BA and affiliates during BE GIA audits and open to provide on – site support for affiliates.Own Corporate governance of the BA and support affiliates to keep it in line with HQ requirements.Provide training in key legal and ethics compliance matters to the BA office and Affiliates.Supporting in implementing the Global, IO and Regional Compliance Plans, policies and procedures, as well as developing additional policies and procedures to address local law and pharma industry requirements to supplement the Global policies when needed. QualificationsYou are an experienced and qualified lawyer with a minimum bachelor’s degree in law from a high-ranked law school. You are a member of the applicable legal bar / law society with 6+ years’ legal experience and preferably with 2+ years in the pharmaceutical, chemical, life sciences or medical device industry. An international mindset and further education (Ph.D. or LL.M. degree or equivalent) would be a plus. You have outstanding command over both written and spoken English. Further sought-after skills include : You have excellent stakeholder management capabilities.You are a strong communicator.You have on-the-job experience in a top tier law firm.You have knowledge of pharmaceutical regulation. You have experience with Business Ethics and Compliance in pharmaceutical or medical device industry (including codes of conduct, FCPA and UK Anti-bribery Act).You should have good cultural understanding and a keen interest in learning about BAMECA and the business priorities and affiliates we work with every day. About the DepartmentBusiness Area Middle East and Central Asia is a newly established business area responsible for Novo Nordisk’s operations in 7 fast growing affiliates : UAE, GEM, Qatar, NERM, CEM, Iran and Pakistan.
