About this opportunity

An exciting opportunity has come available for a Linguist for Marketing material in Medical Devices with a strong passion for quality content, brand stories and the power of marketing. As a you will be responsible for reviewing all translations and transcreations coming from our translation agency, you act as the intermediate between the agency and the local marketing manager, and make sure all output is matching the highest level of quality and compliance while keeping brand message, style, tone of voice and intent so it resonates with local culture. Output pertains mainly to marketing material, such as print and digital content in various formats. You will mainly work from home but will visit the office in Istanbul regularly to work closely with the local Marketing team to understand the requirements and specifics of the market, as well as the linguistic preferences of the Marketing Managers / legal requirements to help them perform the translations review of marketing collaterals with medical content. You will also be participating in trainings related to the product, as well as related to the Translation process. You may also be required to perform urgent translations / transcreations. The Linguist for Marketing material in Medical Devices will report into the Associate Director of Marketing Operations AE with a dotted line to the local Marketing Director. Based across Turkey, ideally located in Istanbul but not a must. Working hours 3 hours a day – Monday to Friday for 12 months period – with possibility to extend. In this role, you will… Review translations and transcreations Correct spelling and grammar mistakes Ensure accuracy and consistency in tone of voice and messaging in the translations Ensure the approved Glossary is followed Transcreate and rephrase translations to keep brand message, style, tone of voice and intent. Ensuring that it resonates with local culture while staying within legal requirements. Manage and optimise the translation process internally Keep Glossary and Terminology base up to date Provide detailed feedback and grade every translation review according to instructions Participate in trainings and meetings to be briefed about upcoming projects. Participate in trainings and meetings with the Translation Vendor and Translation Coordinator to ensure the review guidelines and processes are followed. Provide final sign off on translated documents in the internal Document Control system. Translate / transcreate when needed, and assist the Marketing team in urgent translation related task. In this role, you’ll need … Fluent in English and Turkish Translation Degree / MD + 3 years of experience as Translator / Proofreader Passion for Marketing and building powerful campaigns Experience in Medical and Marketing translations, Clinical translations as a Plus Experience with CAT tools. Preferred : Experience in Dental Industry Preferred : Bilingual level in a third language. Ability to travel to local office regularly.
