The Programme Associate, WFC supports the design, planning and management of UNFPA’s WFC project and country programme by managing data inputs, providing logistical support, monitoring project implementation and following up on recommendations.
You will report to the Programme Analyst, WFC.

Job Purpose :
You will play an instrumental role in facilitating UNFPA’s WFC project and country programme and project implementation, supporting design, planning and management via supporting timely and high quality delivery of outputs according to the work plans and UNFPAs programme procedures.
You will apply established systems and procedures and assist in the creation of knowledge by compiling, synthesizing and analyzing relevant information, developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with procedures.
You would be responsible for :
- Participating in the formulation of the WFC project and WFC-related development programme activities, by preparing inputs to planning, formulation and implementation of overall WFC and Implementing Partners’ work plans and by monitoring budget implementation and preparing / reviewing financial and programmatic progress reports.
- Supporting the evaluation of project and programme activities, establishing ways to assess achievement and recommending corrective action as required; conducting field visits; participating in review meetings and evaluation missions and preparing regular inputs to status and progress reports.
- Monitors Implementing Partner activities, including applications and agreements, creating requisitions and projects, processes budget / work plan revisions and Funding Authorization and Certificate of Expenditure (FACE) reviews for the WFC Programme / Projects;
- Supporting Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfer (HACT) implementation;
- Drafting narrative and financial reports for donors with a particular focus on WFC Programme / Project;
- Organizing stakeholders’ meetings with a particular focus on WFC Project and in collaboration with WFC Project;
- Processing purchase orders for WFC project;
- Providing yearly and quarterly procurement planning data, both for donor and other required reportsMaintaining contact with external human resources company to coordinate recruitment and payroll processes of Programme / Projects personnel;
- Supporting coordination activities with stakeholders at the central and provincial levels as needed under the guidance of WFC Programme Analyst, Gender and RH Programme Coordinators
- Guiding routine implementation of assigned projects, in coordination with national counterparts and project personnel, coordinating delivery of project inputs; and ensuring participation of national counterparts in training activities.
- Providing logistical support to projects by coordinating project related meetings, workshops and events. Training and guiding project personnel and staff on national execution and programme policies and procedures.
- Assisting in implementing knowledge management strategies to capture lessons learned and best practices, sharing these with management for future planning.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience :
Education :
Completed Secondary Level Education required. First level university degree is desirable.
