Senior Hydraulic Engineer - Water Transmission Systems

Job descriptionPlan water transport pipelines and distribution networks, including pipeline routing and equipment selection according to ANSI / ASME codes. Conduct hydraulic feasibility studies, preliminary, tender, and detail design. Perform stationary and transient hydraulic analysis of water transport systems. Provide technical expertise regarding hydraulic equipment, control systems, and overall hydraulic performance. Prepare and take responsibility for : Hydraulic modeling. Steady-state and transient hydraulic studies. P&ID and system flow diagrams. Lists of hydraulic equipment. Wall thickness determination for pipelines. Operation and control philosophy reports. Data sheets for hydraulic equipment (pumps, surge vessels, air compressors, control valves). Vent and drain calculations. Provide technical expertise during HAZOP meetings. Advanced degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering or related field. Significant experience in hydraulic design for large-scale water transmission systems. In-depth knowledge of ANSI / ASME codes related to pipeline and hydraulic equipment. Expertise in steady-state and transient hydraulic analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Software Proficiency : WANDA (or similar hydraulic design software), AutoCAD Plant 3D (for P&IDs), Microsoft Office Suite.
