The Position
Medical Lead is the key Medical Affairs role that develops broad medical & scientific expertise within given Disease / Therapeutic Areas. As a Medical Lead, you support development and execution of patient-focused medical strategies, primarily drive scientific exchange and evidence generation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- You are a strategic partner who provides medical insights and expertise to the organisation and executes all planned medical activities.
- You will be the medical responsible of the team and will be more in the field.
- You manage the integrity and accuracy of scientific and medical data communicated internally and externally for promotional and non-promotional purposes.
- You collaborate with stakeholders in identifying and prioritising relevant research ideas and developing them into research projects.
- You collaborate closely with Clinical Operations across different phases of interventional clinical trials : gaining clarity and communicating / spreading the knowledge to communities of interest, helping to define and maintain country participation strategy, supporting development of sites selection strategy through a disease area lens by different means including participation in site feasibility activities, pre-activation site visits and other F2F and remote interactions with the sites as needed, patient recruitment & retention, protocol & patient-related issues, scientific communication of study results, clinical study report and scientific publications.
- You detect the medical gap / need for RWD / E generation activities by reviewing Integrated Evidence Plans, communicate, agree and document, plan & execute and / or participate in respective work in non-interventional studies and RWD / E generation activities : Definition of the research questions and study objectives, study design and protocol, study budget, feasibility, site selection, pre-activation and ad-hoc visits, patient recruitment, protocol & patient issues, scientific communication of study results, clinical study report and scientific publications.
