Java Test Automation Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Test Automation Engineer who is experienced with Selenium to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with a distributed engineering team to ensure the highest quality of our client’s software systems and services through comprehensive end-to-end verification, leveraging both manual and automated testing strategies. Our client is a global leader in genetic testing, specializing in oncology, women’s health, and organ health. Their mission is to integrate personalized genetic testing and diagnostics into standard care, enabling earlier, targeted interventions that improve and extend lives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Required :
• Spoken English is must for daily scrum meetings with foreign team members and customers.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium test automation framework and libraries (e.g. TestNG, JUnit, ScalaTest, Gatling).
• Familiarity with programming / scripting languages such as Java, Python, Scala, Ruby, or Groovy.
• Proficiency in relational databases and strong SQL skills.
• Strong Linux expertise and command-line scripting proficiency.
• Deep understanding of quality engineering methodologies, test planning, system dependencies, and integration phases.
• Passion for learning new testing practices, scripting languages, and domain-specific knowledge.
• Nice to have :
• Basic knowledge of foundational bioinformatics algorithms (e.g., Alignment, Demultiplexing, Variant Calling).
• Experience working with bioinformatics file formats such as FASTQ, BAM, and VCF.
