World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding.

WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce.

The working hours for this role will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday, although hours worked may be greater based upon operational requirements.

About the Job

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and close processes, working closely with senior accounting leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with accounting standards
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and investigate variances
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and financial records
• Support audit preparation and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting and financial processes
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or similar roles
• Familiarity with US GAAP and experience in multi-entity, regulated, or fast-paced environments preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations, financial statements, and close cycles (month-end / year-end)
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues proactively
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (Sage preferred); advanced Excel skills required (formulas, pivot tables)
• Background in financial services, lending, banking, fintech, public accounting, or high-growth companies is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability for work output
• Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines consistently
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
