What You Will Be Doing

Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Features : Transform user stories from concept to reality; define requirements, design scalable solutions, write both backend and frontend code, conduct thorough testing, and deploy to production.

Identify and Resolve Bugs : Perform root cause analysis to address issues, resolve underlying problems (not just symptoms), and implement smart testing to prevent regressions.

Enhance Code Quality : Evaluate plans and pull requests to ensure clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt from emerging.

What You Won’t Be Doing

Creating pixel-perfect UIs or complex backends without purpose.

Following specifications blindly without grasping the underlying problem.

Getting caught up in endless meetings about roadmaps and priorities or chasing down colleagues.

Merely shipping features; you\'ll be tasked with resolving genuine issues.

Senior Software Engineer Key Responsibilities

Utilizing AI to develop software that addresses real user challenges, delivers quickly, and remains maintainable in the long run.

Basic Requirements

A minimum of 4 years of experience writing production code for both frontend and backend web applications (any framework).

Strong ownership : Proven experience managing complete modules, product features, or teams, rather than contributing isolated tasks.

Independent execution : Capability to self-unblock, set your own pace, and navigate ambiguous scenarios.

Experience incorporating generative AI into your daily development work.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD / hour, which equates to $100,000 USD / year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
