Job Description

The Procurement function in JDE is on the journey to a Worlds Class Procurement Organisation delivering against JDE Business ambition. Key responsibilities of the function is to deliver the most competitive cost & cash base, to create top line value by building and managing a strong supplier base, and to champion a culture of pride and performance in the Procurement team.

Direct Buyer is responsible to manage regional day to day operations on Procurement of Direct Materials across specific Packaging Categories or Factory Clusters in Europe.

The spend under responsibility of the Regional Buyer is up to EUR 10 m, including over 250 individual SKUs, 50 suppliers and 3 MU and 1 BU units in Turkey.

Reporting to the MEA & EECA Procurement Manager, Direct Buyer develops manages a lean end-to-end inbound supply chain, including an execution of Productivity programs locally on all Direct Categories.

Besides above core responsibilities, direct buyer should act proactively in any potential regional buying synergies

Qualifications

  • At least 7-8 years of relevant experience ideally in a Global FMCG.
  • An excellent track record of delivering complex projects and service improvement activities.
  • Successful experience of leading cross functional teams that focus on the lowest total cost of ownership as a key target
  • Ability to work under pressure, high level of stress resistance.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to thrive with ambiguity and change.
