What you’ll do
IFRS and Local GAAP Excellence
- Maintains a deep understanding of international and respective local financial reporting standards
- Builds upon the group-wide financial reporting governance to progress local market accounting compliance, accuracy, transparency and consistency,
- Collaborates closely with the Accounting Competence Center (ACC), contributing and advising with the local market(s) reporting expertise in terms of strategic accounting judgements, characterised by a high degree on materiality, critical risk / chance profile and / or a group / cross market impact
Safeguarding accounting compliance
Certifies Income Statement, Balance Sheet and other Financial Statement artefacts (Disclosures, Management Reports, etc.) under both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for the respective local market(s)Accountable for timely and accurate statutory financial reporting for the respective local market(s)Challenges the overarching end-to-end accounting structures and processes to contribute to achieving future targets and evolution in R2R accounting processesContributes to evolving the existing group-wide compliance governance frameworks In close collaboration with the Accounting Competence Center to assure guidance and adherence for key compliance processes (such as Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Accrual Governance and others) and streamline data aggregation and reporting processes, supporting strategic financial decision-making at both local and organizational levelsAccounting Business Partnership
Acts as a Business Partner Accounting for Local Market Finance Directors and CSO organisations for accounting related judgements and local market certificationsAssumes responsibility as an accounting expert for related accounting transformation initiativesCollaborates closely with the Group Financial Reporting team and related peers to closely align accounting policy, judgement and policy applicationActs as a nexus for groupwide collation of relevant financial key parameters, integrating and coalescing local market / CSO reportings into an overarching frameworkServes as the key contact for external auditors with regard to financials for the respective local market / Manages the audit work for the respective local marketWho you are
Chartered Accountant (or equivalent)University graduate, preferably from Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, etc.10+ years experience in finance, in particular in all areas of finance operations either by practical delivery or through oversightExtensive telecommunications industry experienceVery strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skillsAnalytical-minded, innovative, adaptable, team player.Core competencies, knowledge and experience
