We are looking for Hydrology and Drainage Engineer, for our offices (Ankara or Istanbul) in Turkey.

Independently undertaking hydrological analysis including, but not limited to rainfall analysis, catchment delineation and peak flow estimation, using widely used and recognised software such as WMS and HEC-HMS

Studying and developing flood mitigation countermeasures and stormwater networks with minimum supervision, using widely used and recognised software such as SEWER GEMS

Performing 2D hydraulic simulations autonomously, using widely used and recognised software such as HEC-RAS and InfoWorks ICM.

Independently carrying out the hydraulic design of culverts, using widely used and recognised software such as HY-8 or CulvertMaster

Independently carrying out the hydraulic computations of open drain structures

Independently carrying out the hydraulic design of bridges, performing scour studies and sizing the scour countermeasures

Preparing technical reports

Drafting technical drawings

3D modelling of the proposed solution in Civil3D

SKILLS REQUIRED

Minimum 5 years of experience in hydrology and stormwater drainage design,

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a reputable university,

Sound knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics principles,

Experience in road and rail projects,

Knowledge of the international design standards and codes for hydrology and drainage design,

Proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software such as AUTOCAD and C3D,

Proficiency in hydraulic software including, but not limited to HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WMS, HY-8, Hydraulic Toolbox, SEWER GEMS, SSA,

Agility with ARCGIS, Global Mapper, QGIS,

Sound knowledge of basic software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe,

Strong English language skills in both verbal and written communication,

Master's degree in hydraulics will be an asset

Experience in the GCC region projects and knowledge of respective standards and procedures

Knowledge of measurement standards including, but not limited to CESM

Knowledge of sustainable drainage design principles and criteria

Experience in working with Dynamo, Subassembly Composer, Inventor InfraWorks ICM.

Experience in working with Excel VBA

Experience in working with other programming languages (i.e. Python) to automate hydraulic design tasks and create personalised solutions
